Getting quotes
How does the matching work?
Tell us what you're interested in and where you live, and we match you with up to 3 vetted, MCS-certified installers who cover your area. You see your matches before anyone gets your details, and you choose how many, and which, can contact you.
Is it really free for homeowners?
Yes. Homeowners never pay us anything. Installers pay us a referral fee on completed installations: the same percentage for every installer, so we have no reason to favour one over another.
When will installers contact me?
Matched installers contact you within 2 working days of your submission to arrange a free survey. If you haven't heard within 3 working days, get in touch and we'll chase them up.
Can I compare more than 3 quotes?
We match a maximum of 3 installers per submission so you aren't flooded with calls. If you'd like more options, re-submit through the comparison tool. A second submission may surface different companies.
Do I have to give my contact details to use the tools?
No. The solar estimator, battery finder and quote checker all work without an email address or phone number. You only share contact details when you decide you want quotes.
Am I under any obligation once I get quotes?
None. Compare the quotes, take your time, and choose one, or walk away. It's free either way.
Installers and quality
How are installers vetted?
Every installer we match must hold in-date MCS certification, be a member of a consumer code (HIES or RECC), carry valid public liability insurance, and have an established trading history. We verify these before any installer receives a lead.
What is MCS and why does it matter?
MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) is the UK standard for renewable installations. An MCS certificate is issued for every certified installation. You need one to access smart export tariffs, and it's your assurance the work meets the national standard.
Are you tied to any brands or installers?
No. We're independent: no brands are favoured, no installer gets preferential treatment, and every installer pays the same referral percentage.
I'm an installer. How do I join the network?
We're actively onboarding MCS-certified UK installers. See our for-installers page, or email us with your MCS number, the regions you cover, and the technologies you install.
Your details
What happens to my personal information?
Your details are never sold. They're shared only with the installers you approve (up to 3) so they can prepare your quotes. Our privacy policy sets out the full detail.
Can I change my mind after submitting?
Yes. Contact us and we'll remove your details from our system and let matched installers know not to contact you.
